MY 6 PAGE SPREAD FOR MEADE MAGAZINE
Once again I'm on a roll .... since march every month..... I've been featured in high profile magazines because of my honesty and even landed my first cover in the UK ... well that's what they all say .... I like that they recognise me for that ....
I'm a truth blogger and means telling the truth and that's why when its fashion month I find myself sometimes with no tickets or standing and my peers who get less views and hits than me sit from row because they sell out .... that's not my style .....
most of my interviews bang on about me and the fashion world ... but this one is different ... i cant find any print to show you extracts ... so you'll have to buy a copy ...
this is one of my best interviews .... and my god six pages ....???
many thanks to editor in chief Fossy Meade

JOURDAN DUNN REVEALS - "MAKE UP ARTIST REFUSED TO TOUCH ME BECAUSE IWAS BLACK"
This is not my post but thought I would share it with you.... This story come to you via hot97boston.com
Young British model, Jourdan Dunn is speaking out about the racism that still exist in her high profile profession. The 22 year old model recently revealed , in an interview with Net-A-Porter’s The Edit, that she too has faced racism like her colleague model, Chanel Iman. Like Iman, Dunn reveals how she has been turned away from castings because the agents filled their quotas with enough black girls. But her situations have been far worse than that. Jourdan also talks about a time when a white make-up artist would not touch her face because she was black.
But how does a model whose career has been ignited by campaigns with Yves Saint Laurent. Tommy Hilfiger and Burberry, hold it all together and wins in spite of the odds against her? Dunn says that it is through having strong mentors and people around her that encourage her to do her best. Those mentors and friends include W’s Edward Enniful and makeup artist Pat McGrath. Dunn says that her mother built up her self-esteem and was a great role model for her.
Dunn also sees the bigger picture in the obstacles that she faces within the modeling world. She does it all for her 3 year old son, who battles with sickle cell disease. Dunn is the first black model in ten years to walk in Prada’s fashion show. She has also graced the cover of Teen Vogue and won Model of the Year at the British Fashion Awards.
Dunn was discovered in Hammersmith Primark in 2006 and signed to Storm Model Management in London. In 2008, Steven Meisel selected Dunn to appear on the cover of the Vogue Italia issue. The issue held great significance because it was an issue devoted entirely to black models.Dunn is known for her signature walk and killer legs. Although black is beautiful, it is still hard for dark people of color to get ahead. Many dark people in the entertainment industry have to be ten times bolder or better in what they do, and even coming out and speaking against the industry can get you blacklisted. While this type of behavior in the industry may be nothing new, in this day and age it is worth noting that it is still a hindrance and an issue that needs to continually be addressed in order to effect change.
I'm saying nothing!!! Absolutely nothing because if I start I won't stop ...

60 SECONDS WITH...... Chad le Clos
#screeeaaam so next week I get to meet Olympic Gold Medalist Chad le Clos for now check out this 60 second interview work the man himself courtesy of Omega House Times
HT: How do you feel about competing in your first Olympic Games?
CLC:It’s a huge honour and something I have been dreaming about since I was a little kid. I am among the world’s best, not only in the swimming circle but other sports as well.
HT: What do think about London as a host city?
CLC: Fantastic. Just looking at the way England supports home sports like soccer, rugby and cricket… I think we can all expect a great Games, the atmosphere will be electric
HT: How does it feel to represent your country?
CLC: A dream come true. I think every child that plays sports dreams about representing their country when they get older, and to be a Springbok/Protea is something I will remember for ever.
HT: Who is your favourite ever Olympian?
CLC: My favourite homegrown Olympian is Terence Parkin, but it’s hard to leave out Michael Phelps – although perhaps I shouldn’t say that when I’m going to be racing him!
HT: What are you most looking forward to about London 2012 and why?
CLC:The athletics, especially because I used to do track and field when I was younger. The tennis should be awesome too, seeing as the biggest international names will be competing.
Chad le Clos is a South African swimmer and Omega ambassador who yesterday won the Olympic gold medal in the 200m Butterfly

Gareth Pugh Video Interview

In the film Gareth discusses growing up in Sunderland, what it is like being mentored by Rick Owens:
"The best thing Rick Owens ever told me was how to say no, which translates to a lot of different problems and life circumstances, not necessarily on a creative level, but in many aspects of life. I think he means by saying that, you need time to be able to think. Rick tends not to do a lot of things that are outside of his world. You know he lives and breathes there, 24 hours a day, whereas sometimes with me, I really like to work on different projects, and sometimes those different projects can really get in the way of you actually seeing the wood from the trees and what you want to do with your own thing. So while the things I do outside of my main job help me develop and grow, I think sometimes it's good to be able to know not to take on too many things. It's like having a tight, tiny little packet of butter; to butter a whole loaf sometimes you are spread a little too thinly."
As well as working with Wayne McGregor on the ballet at the Royal Opera House, Carbon Life and his inspirations for his latest collection.
With his offbeat take on clubwear and inventive approach to luxury, Gareth Pugh is arguably one of Britain's most innovative fashion designers. The Sunderland native started designing for the English National Youth Theatre at just 14 before catching the eye of Fashion East, a hotbed for fashion talent in 2005, creating his first collection without a studio or the help of assistants. Crane.tv caught up with Pugh at his East London studio to find out just how far he's come since those days, his latest project with choreographer Wayne McGregor, and the best piece of advice he's ever received.
