MUST SEE - THE RISE OF THE GREY FOX /SILVER FOX BLAH BLAH

I'm not going to babble on but this really grinds my gears and annoys me really as it affects me personally .... Over the last few years we have seen the rise of the older model and the grey fox ... Grey is beautiful and that It is! I'm not ashamed of my age or anything and I've got grey hairs coming through and I'm not ashamed to have them well most days .... I think it's amazing that the world is embracing the silver fox and the older man in general it's amazing there are agencies out there, the silver fox is being used more and more at fashion weeks around the world .... Now here's the problem ... Do we only have white silver foxes ??? Once again the media are messing (I wanted to say something stronger there) with our heads and saying the older man with grey hair is beautiful as long as he is white , that's not cool there are so many very attractive middle aged black men who come under this category but when some media wrote on the subject I can name a few but will name one as their article was the most patronising (The Telegraph) and in all of these article they babble on grey fox, grey fox blah blah and of course not one picture of the black man is shown ....  That's their prerogative but all I'm saying is white is beautiful, black is beautiful,  we all are beautiful young and old don't let blinkered newspapers mess with your mind ... I mean they've already got the kardashians cemented in half the populations brain ... But from my experience with the media it goes like this they love you today put you on a pedestal... Tomorrow they'll help with your down fall 

Let's wise up hey .... This is after all 2016 ... I'm black, I'm a model, I dont book as much as my white counterparts but you know what I ain't mad .... Maybe one day black will be in fashion again soon after all it was like 300 years ago

Oh and me ... Basically with the media putting out shit like this it's basically messing up people's careers that they've worked hard for!

Today's shoes are from Christian Louboutin and are the Spooky Patent loafers for men ... these shoes hold a dear place in my heart as I had a pair and due to the amount of travelling I do I lost the bag that had them in ..... I've been promising to get myself a new pair and is the ultimate time as they are now available again .....  this is a done deal SOLD!!!

JOURDAN DUNN REVEALS - "MAKE UP ARTIST REFUSED TO TOUCH ME BECAUSE IWAS BLACK"

Young British model, Jourdan Dunn is speaking out about the racism that still exist in her high profile profession. The 22 year old model recently revealed , in an interview with Net-A-Porter’s The Edit, that she too has faced racism like her colleague model, Chanel Iman. Like Iman, Dunn reveals how she has been turned away from castings because the agents filled their quotas with enough black girls. But her situations have been far worse than that. Jourdan also talks about a time when a white make-up artist would not touch her face because she was black.

But how does a model whose career has been ignited by campaigns with Yves Saint Laurent. Tommy Hilfiger and Burberry, hold it all together and wins in spite of the odds against her? Dunn says that it is through having strong mentors and people around her that encourage her to do her best. Those mentors and friends include W’s Edward Enniful and makeup artist Pat McGrath. Dunn says that her mother built up her self-esteem and was a great role model for her.

Dunn also sees the bigger picture in the obstacles that she faces within the modeling world. She does it all for her 3 year old son, who battles with sickle cell disease. Dunn is the first black model in ten years to walk in Prada’s fashion show. She has also graced the cover of Teen Vogue and won Model of the Year at the British Fashion Awards.

Dunn was discovered in Hammersmith Primark in 2006 and signed to Storm Model Management in London. In 2008, Steven Meisel selected Dunn to appear on the cover of the Vogue Italia issue. The issue held great significance because it was an issue devoted entirely to black models.Dunn is known for her signature walk and killer legs. Although black is beautiful, it is still hard for dark people of color to get ahead. Many dark people in the entertainment industry have to be ten times bolder or better in what they do, and even coming out and speaking against the industry can get you blacklisted. While this type of behavior in the industry may be nothing new, in this day and age it is worth noting that it is still a hindrance and an issue that needs to continually be addressed in order to effect change.
