Caroline Issa Q&A

Q: How would you describe your personal style?
A: I like clothes that make a statement, whether that’s in a color, a texture or a cut. I’m not afraid of putting prints or colors together that might not necessarily go together naturally!
Q: How did you style your sweater?
A: It’s such a gorgeous intense pink that would obviously be the center of attention, so I made sure to pair it with a classic white shirt and skinny black leather trousers. I met some friends for dinner in a crowded, big restaurant and of course they couldn’t miss me!
Q: What’s your idea of the perfect finishing touch?
A: A red lip

Q&A with Charlie Siem
Charlie Siem is was born in London to a Norwegian father and a British mother, Charlie began to play the violin at the age of three after hearing a performance of Beethoven’s Violin Concerto by the late Yehudi Menuhin. Charlie performed his first concerto aged 15 and has appeared with orchestras around the world. His festival appearances include St Moritz, Gstaad, Spoleto and Windsor and orchestras include the Royal Philharmonic, London Mozart Players, Israel Camerata and the Bergen Philharmonic. In 2008 Charlie toured the UK with the Moscow Philharmonic playing Shostakovich’s First Violin Concerto to great critical acclaim and in 2011 he serenaded Lady Gaga at her Fashion Icon Award party in New York.

Q: Tell us how you became a violinist.
A: When I was 3, I heard the violin on the radio, Beethoven’s Violin Concerto—still my favourite piece—and I was enthralled. I’ve been lucky enough to share the stage with the Royal Philharmonic and Moscow Symphony orchestras and even The Who.

Q: How did you style your Ludlow suit?
A: I wore a white shirt to keep it smart and brown lizard loafers without socks to keep it relaxed.
Q: What do you like about the suit?
A: It’s timeless, uncomplicated and elegant.
Q: Who’s your style icon?
A: Marcello Mastroianni.
