Yesterday at the Bread and Butter Berlin tradeshow G-Star unveiled its new campaign face international model Arizona Muse. The new Autumn/Winter 2012 campaign is again shot by photographer Anton Corbijn. In the campaign Arizona features alongside the American actor Caleb Landry Jones, who was already announced during the G-Star store opening in Cannes.
Arizona Muse featured yesterday in the G-Star collection presentation of the Spring/Summer 2013 collection at Bread and Butter Berlin. Since her breakthrough in 2010, Arizona (1988, Tuscon, Arizona) featured in catwalk shows, editorials and on various magazine covers, including US Vogue and Dazed and Confused. Before teaming up with G-Star Arizona already knew the brand: “I have seen the G-Star advertising campaigns before and they’re all really cool. I love how they’re RAW.”
Shubhankar Ray, Global Brand Director of G-Star about the collaboration with Arizona: “We are proud to work with Arizona Muse; she has become her name being today’s muse of fashion. With her stand out presence and distinctive look, we felt she was a raw and real character to feature in our new campaign photographed by Anton Corbijn.”
American actor Caleb Landry Jones, male face for the new campaign, features in Hollywood blockbusters like X-Men: First class and Contraband, in which he acted alongside Mark Wahlberg. He also takes on smaller underground projects, like The Last Exorcism and one of his latest projects, Antiviral, the directorial debut of Brandon Cronenberg, son of renowned director David Cronenberg. This film premiered at the 65th Film Festival in Cannes. For another eagerly awaited film, Byzantium, Caleb starred alongside a former G-Star campaign face, Gemma Arterton.
The Autumn/Winter 2012 campaign is again shot by photographer and filmmaker Anton Corbijn, whose unique vision and raw, emotional style fits the G-Star brand. This season Corbijn took both Caleb and Arizona to the French Alps, where the shoot took place at an altitude of over 3000 meters.
The G-Star RAW Autumn/Winter 2012 campaign will go live on the streets as of mid-September 2012, when all campaign outfits will be made available through G-Star Stores. Find your nearest G-Star Store on g-star.com
