JIGSAW MENSWEAR IN STORE NEXT WEEK!

Iconic British high-street label Jigsaw are excitedly preparing for the re-launch of their menswear line which lands in store from Monday 19th March 2012 with a highly anticipated SS12 Collection. The menswear collection will be brought back under the brand label with its first collection since 1999 and will be available to buy online and across 18 existing Jigsaw stores throughout the UK. A stand alone store is also planned for one of London’s premier menswear shopping districts, Spitalfields.

Jigsaw have taken the decision to re-instate the successful line following the recent resurgence and interest in menswear and the public’s long-standing affection for Jigsaw’s previous menswear collections. The collection is being driven by design director Frances Walker (of previous Nicole Farhi acclaim) who joined Jigsaw in February 2011 to begin working on the brand.
“We are inspired by honest clothing with a dishevelled charm, it’s not about being pristine, it’s about being comfortably well put together. We based the collection around most men’s favourite wardrobe pieces.” Frances Walker, Jigsaw Menswear Design Director.

Targeted at a broad men’s market and inspired by personal style and great quality pieces rather than slavishly following fashion trends, the collection is focussed on simple, modern elegance, quality fabric and great fit (not to mention extremely competitive prices which range from £20 - £275). Predominantly British made, the collection favourites are focused around casual tailoring and summer outerwear including the unstructured linen herringbone overcoat, a double face British Millerain navy pea coat and a Jigsaw check wool cotton blazer.
Jigsaw Menswear will be available to buy online at www.jigsaw-online.com and key Jigsaw stores from 19th March 2012:
London: Spitalfields, Bow Lane, Dover Street, Kings Road, Richmond, Westbourne Grove.
Rest of the UK: Bath, Guildford, Cheltenham, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Birmingham, Manchester, Liverpool, Harrogate, Nottingham,
Cambridge, Leeds,

Shoescribe.com - the new online destination dedicated to shoes
YOOX GROUP LAUNCHES
The online destination dedicated entirely to shoes and everything that surrounds them
YOOX Group is set to launch shoescribe.com, a new online destination for women where shoes and everything that surrounds them take the spotlight. “From our twelve years of experience in e-commerce, we know shoes are the undisputable bestsellers globally. As such we wanted to dedicate an online space entirely to shoes but also to really focus on service and a unique way to shop online,” says Federico Marchetti, Founder and CEO of YOOX Group.
Accordingly, shoescribe.com will take a novel approach to shoe shopping, offering a new and intriguing perspective on footwear through a blend of three main elements – e-commerce, exclusive shoe-related services and editorial content.
The distinctive selection is both edited and wide-ranging and will have over 100 brands at launch that cover the spectrum from top names to researched niche labels including Acne, Alexander Wang, Bally, Giambattista Valli, Marni, Marc Jacobs, Opening Ceremony, Proenza Schouler and Sergio Rossi among many others. New brands will be added continuously and users will be able to shop by designer, category, occasion and heel. Additionally, the site will also sell just about everything else related to shoes – books, jewelry, design items and shoe-care products among other things.
Via an annual subscription to shoescribe.com, Shoescribers will receive exclusive services that include complimentary shoe repair, a custom-made shoe care kit, free shipping throughout the year, dedicated customer care and many other special features including “Cinderella for a Day” (half off a pair of shoes as a birthday gift).
For its inauguration, shoescribe.com has enlisted the expertise of modern-day film and fashion luminary and fellow shoe- lover Arianne Phillips, who will be the guest curator of the online store for the first week after launch. Arianne has worked with Hollywood’s best and brightest, on films such as A Single Man, Walk the Line and Madonna’s directorial debut W.E., the latter two for which she received Oscar nods, just to name a few. Arianne will contribute to shoescribe.com with her must have picks, trend ideas and interviews chronicling her life and Hollywood experiences from the shoe point of view.
“I love shoes! Footwear is constant inspiration for me. Whether it is researching characters for the films I am the Costume Designer for or designing a costume for an artist I work with like Madonna or simply planning a fashion editorial, I always start from the shoes up,” says Arianne. “Shoes tell our story, they inform how we walk, dance and present ourselves - they can be practical or frivolous, serious or comical shoes are the windows to our character.”
The site’s editorial component, which consists of daily editor’s picks (Stars), the latest trends (Spotlight) and a blog-style section called Newsreel, provides the context making for an innovative experience for both shoppers and readers alike. The mise-en-scène of the website in addition to the Newsreel section takes inspiration from a particular source – the world of cinema and old Hollywood glamour. shoescribe.com will smoothly weave the worlds of fashion and film through interviews with costume designers, articles on shoes featured in films, Q&A's with actors and behind the scenes on sets alongside other shoe-related content providing an entertaining spin and a novel perspective on what we put on our feet. There will also be street style images, answers to any questions from Ms. Suzie Scribe, the site's resident shoe guru, and Shoe Valet where you can find tips and advice on shoe care and a list of hand-picked cobblers.
shoescribe.com is Powered by YOOX Group and benefits from the Group’s offices and operations in the United States, Europe, Japan, China and Hong Kong, ensuring an exceptional level of customer service: rapid and reliable delivery to more than 100 countries worldwide with over 99% of deliveries on time, easy returns and best-in-class customer care.

UNIQLO UNDERCOVER TO LAUNCH 16th MARCH

UNIQLO’S First Collaboration with Jun Takahashi’s Undercover Label to Focus on
Fashionable Family Apparel UNIQLO today announces that UUU, it’s collaborative design project with acclaimed designer Jun Takahashi and his cult-hit Undercover fashion label, will make its retail debut on Friday, March 16. UNIQLO’s first UUU collection will focus on a family theme, with a full lineup of apparel for women, men, and, for the first time in 10 years, UNIQLO UK will also be offering kidswear to the British market! UUU will be available globally in selected UNIQLO stores, starting with the new global flagship store in Tokyo’s Ginza district (opening on March 16).
As the chief designer behind Undercover’s unique, street-inspired fashions, Takahashi has teamed up with UNIQLO to put his distinctively edgy yet upscale touch on the brand’s high-quality, basic clothing. The full lineup covers a broad range of clothing needs, from comfortable loungewear to the perfect garments for a day out. The men’s line matches gentle colours with darker tones, while UUU’s offerings for women are based upon an exciting palette of colours and patterns drawn from Takahashi’s groundbreaking label.

The collection nods toward a relaxed sports lux style, highlighted with fine cotton, soft jerseys, and neo leather fabrications. Fun playful prints have been incorporated into the children’s and women’s designs, allowing for families to complement each others looks.
UUU is all about a new kind of family-oriented clothing under a singular concept. Takahashi designed the children’s and babies’ lines with his wife, Rico. As the parents of two children, the couple lavished attention on the designs for children and babies to produce a playful combination of vibrant colours, unique prints and fine details, pushing this collection far beyond the conventional realm of children’s clothing. With the new UUU collection, UNIQLO and Takahashi have developed an eclectic range of fine designs for the whole family. UUU is Jun Takahashi’s message to the world, to encourage families the world over to maintain a positive outlook as they face the trials and tribulations of modern life.

The collection will be available in UNIQLO 311 Oxford St, 84 Regent St, and online at http://www.uniqlo.com./ The kidswear collection will be available from new born sizes through to age 12 (150cm), and prices start from £7.90 to £59.90. Men’s and women’s prices start at £19.90 to £79.90.
