UNIQLO's Collaboration with London’s Iconic Historical Store Liberty ofLondon

UNIQLO  announces details of its highly anticipated collaboration with Liberty London, launching in the UK on March 18th 2016. The quintessentially British brand, Liberty London, and UNIQLO jointly create a unique line that marries over a hundred years of history with modern UNIQLO LifeWear philosophy of Simple Made Better.

The quintessentially British brand, Liberty London, collaborates with UNIQLO on a unique line that marries over a hundred years of history with UNIQLO’s modern LifeWear philosophy Simple made better. The Liberty London for UNIQLO collection is based on a selection of prints from the iconic London store’s archives, fusing Liberty’s signature heritage florals with a variety of UNIQLO items.

This unique melding of past and future creates a brave new fashion style perfect for the present.
UNIQLO is proud to have influential image-maker, Nick Knight, shoot the collaboration. As a pivotal figure in fashion photography for several decades, Nick brings his own unique vision to the fusion of Uniqlo and Liberty London. In addition to this, UNIQLO has collaborated with CHAOS Fashion, a partnership between Charlotte Stockdale and Katie Lyall, on the creative concept for the project. CHAOS Fashion is a London-based unique and expressive creative hub working on product development, branding, styling and creative direction.

Liberty London has collected ornaments, fabrics, and artworks from Japan and throughout Asia, offering the world printed designs and products inspired from the 42,000 images in its print archives. Dresses and textiles created from Liberty prints have been collected by The Victoria and Albert Museum, which specializes in art and design, and continue to exert a huge influence on culture, art, and fashion.

UNIQLO opened its first overseas store in London in September 2001. Liberty London, a beloved brand with an enormous influence on fashion and culture, was one of the companies focused on since that time, and one day hoped to partner with to offer new ideas to the world. That dream has become  reality. Liberty London, which has assimilated culture from Japan, East Asia, and the entire world over its 140 year history, has teamed up with UNIQLO who are enriching peoples’ lives through clothing, to create a new collection fusing tradition and innovation. Beautiful Liberty prints in a variety of patterns have been combined by UNIQLO to create a collection to delight and present to customers around the world.

In line with the relaunch of UNIQLO’s completely renewed global flagship store on London’s iconic Oxford street, only a short distance away from the Liberty London global flagship store, the collaboration proudly supports London and it’s local and global customers. London is renowned for always showcasing the best fashion on offer and Liberty’s Tudor-style store in London is a symbol of classical British design that has had an iconic presence in London since 1875.

UNIQLO UNDERCOVER TO LAUNCH 16th MARCH

UNIQLO’S First Collaboration with Jun Takahashi’s Undercover Label to Focus on
Fashionable Family Apparel UNIQLO today announces that UUU, it’s collaborative design project with acclaimed designer Jun Takahashi and his cult-hit Undercover fashion label, will make its retail debut on Friday, March 16. UNIQLO’s first UUU collection will focus on a family theme, with a full lineup of apparel for women, men, and, for the first time in 10 years, UNIQLO UK will also be offering kidswear to the British market! UUU will be available globally in selected UNIQLO stores, starting with the new global flagship store in Tokyo’s Ginza district (opening on March 16).

As the chief designer behind Undercover’s unique, street-inspired fashions, Takahashi has teamed up with UNIQLO to put his distinctively edgy yet upscale touch on the brand’s high-quality, basic clothing. The full lineup covers a broad range of clothing needs, from comfortable loungewear to the perfect garments for a day out. The men’s line matches gentle colours with darker tones, while UUU’s offerings for women are based upon an exciting palette of colours and patterns drawn from Takahashi’s groundbreaking label.

The collection nods toward a relaxed sports lux style, highlighted with fine cotton, soft jerseys, and neo leather fabrications. Fun playful prints have been incorporated into the children’s and women’s designs, allowing for families to complement each others looks.

UUU is all about a new kind of family-oriented clothing under a singular concept. Takahashi designed the children’s and babies’ lines with his wife, Rico. As the parents of two children, the couple lavished attention on the designs for children and babies to produce a playful combination of vibrant colours, unique prints and fine details, pushing this collection far beyond the conventional realm of children’s clothing. With the new UUU collection, UNIQLO and Takahashi have developed an eclectic range of fine designs for the whole family. UUU is Jun Takahashi’s message to the world, to encourage families the world over to maintain a positive outlook as they face the trials and tribulations of modern life.

The collection will be available in UNIQLO 311 Oxford St, 84 Regent St, and online at http://www.uniqlo.com./ The kidswear collection will be available from new born sizes through to age 12 (150cm), and prices start from £7.90 to £59.90. Men’s and women’s prices start at £19.90 to £79.90.
