#swatch MTV playground -Faye Dinsmore - First casting
FROM FACEBOOK PHENOMENON TO SWATCH MTV PLAYGROUND:
Ireland’s most successful model, Faye Dinsmore, steps into the role of Guest Editor on Swatch MTV Playground
She has taken Facebook by storm, being the first ever Irish national to attract more than 100,000 followers on the social networking site (she now has over 200,000 fans, leaving Ronan Keating’s 35,000 cold) and now, the most influential and successful model Ireland has ever produced, is taking the helm as guest editor of online creative platform Swatch MTV Playground.
Faye’s own fashion blog, detailing the hectic, often glamorous, and always public, lifestyle, of a model in demand, is already a huge hit with fashionistas across the globe, so her guest editorship of the blog stream on Swatch MTV Playground is a much anticipated move.
Signed alongside giants of the modelling world such as Freja Beha, Gisele Bündchen and Heidi Klum, to agency IMG, Faye’s career has been going from strength to strength over the last 18 months, and she is now the face of a lucrative global campaign for L’Oreal.
As guest editor, she will curate, shape and inspire the Playground community with insights, experience and her take on the fashion world. Faye’s unique perspective will permeate the multiple content streams across Swatch MTV Playground through blogs, video content, interviews and social media interaction.
Of her involvement with Swatch MTV Playground, Faye has said, “When young people get creative, they bring new life to art, fashion, music – everything you need for a vibrant and dynamic cultural community. I’m excited to be a part of this through Swatch MTV Playground – as Guest Editor, I can’t wait to be inspired!”

SWATCH IS PROUD TO ANNOUNCE ITS PARTNERSHIP WITH THE 2011 MTV EMAs
The 2011 MTV EMAs will take place on November 6th, in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
Acknowledging the ongoing and often-thrilling alliance between music and fashion, Swatch - which cites Art, Fashion and Sport as its three pillars, consistently exploring them in varied lifestyle projects - is one of the four main partners of the 2011 MTV EMAs. Swatch sees this momentous event, being staged in Belfast's vast Odyssey Arena, as an ideal forum in which to both experience and celebrate a rich mix of contemporary fashion. With this in mind, a select group of internationally respected fashion media and bloggers will be amongst the guests invited by Swatch to attend, capturing and uploading all the sartorial and sonic excitement through words and images, as it happens.
Swatch is arranging some amazing competitions to ensure fans of music and fashion around the world have the opportunity to win a once-in-lifetime trip to the 2011 MTV EMAs. The first of these will be a design competition, hosted on Swatch MTV Playground, http://www.swatchmtvplayground.com/ . The second one can be entered through the International Swatch Fan Page on Facebook. Winners from both competitions, that start September 1st, will get access to the ultra-exclusive V.I.P show which will be attended by some of the most globally respected talents working at the forefront of 21st century music!

The gift of time from Swatch and MTV
I was so happy! in fact overwhelmed yesterday when I received this Swatch watch from Swatch MTV playground for my continued contribution. If you have not checked it out yet use the search bar on my blog to check it out. Swatch MTV playground fuses music and fashion with titles such as 'Tribal Cowboys'.

SCENE@MEXICO - TRIBAL COWBOYS #SWATCH MTV PLAYGROUND
The Tribal Cowboys are a group of young men from San Luis in Northern Mexico who enjoy nothing more than getting together to customise their style and choreograph group dances.
DJ Otto (a DJ/Producer for the scene) says that Tribal came about thanks to the fusion of two unlikely musical influences - tropical music and techno. The track on the video gives you a taste of what it sounds like.
You’ll notice that the most striking thing about the Tribal Cowboys is their boots! A lot of time and effort goes into making them – and the more crazy and more pointy, the better! Brando (featured in the video) now has a full time job creating these boots after originally making them for fun.
It has become such a huge trend that sometimes the girls will actually check out the boys’ boots before they even look at their faces – so the more impressive the footwear, the higher the chance of getting the girl!
One of the most important things to learn from the Tribal Cowboys is that there is no social status attached to this – everybody just gets together and dances to the music they love. But, as with all trends the Tribal Cowboys have their share of critics, though they insist it’s just harmless fun. Take a look at the video – what do you think?

The Swiss Jerk scene takes on the vibrant, colorful expression through clothes, dance and music that California started a few years ago. Again, there is a real community feel with the Swiss Jerks as with the Brum n Bassers, as they have dance ‘crews’ and large groups of friends. Look at the back flip at the end of this video – amazing!

SWATCH MTV PLAYGROUND EXCLUSIVE VIDEOS 3 AND 4
Ok this is the latest in a series of Swatch TV Playground videos which is a platform that merges music and fashion....
This installement features iconic fashion photographer Rankin, to coincide with the launch of Rankin for Swatch - his visionary new range of watches....
Rankin is responsible for some of the most dynamic, powerful images of the last decade, and his portfolio includes the biggest names in music, fashion, film and politics (Katy Perry, Colin Firth, Jay-Z, Madonna and Prince William are just a few). He is also behind a number of groundbreaking advertisements, portraits and covers for the world’s leading fashion magazines, as well as founding Dazed & Confused, which sets the style agenda for the 21st century.

Last night I bumped into .....
So last night at the Swatch for Rankin party I actually got to talk to the man himself which was awesome as I've admired his work for years. I must say one of the nicest person I've ever met. Just thought I would share that with you all. ......

As some of you may already know I'm blogging as part of the Swatch MTV Playground, a platform for new and upcoming talent where music meets fashion.
So last night was the Swatch for Rankin party and on the night we got to meet infamous Rankin himself and a host of celebrities including the one and only DJ Pete Tong and actor Sean Pertwee.
The night itself! For once I'm speechless was too good to describe in words with guests from all walks of life and media which just added that twist for this awesome night......

Art Director Fred Butler is a props stylist and accessories designer based in London. She works with art directors, stylists and photographers to create imaginative one-off pieces for fashion stories to enhance the aesthetic of a shoot. Her work is characterised by the inclusion of everyday object to create a kitsch yet elegant aesthetic.
Swatch MTV Playground is a platform for discovering upcoming talent, which bring both fashion and music together.

Swatch MTV Playground is a platform for discovering upcoming talent, which bring both fashion and music together. In this Video first of a series we see guest editors Alex Noble (http://www.allisalexnoble.blogspot.com/) and Fred Butler (http://fredbutlerstyle.blogspot.com/) who are the creative minds behind some of Lady GaGa’s most outrageous outfits. Alex has just launched his first line at London Fashion Week, and is set to become one of the biggest names in the UK fashion industry.
