FACEBOOK PAGE LIKES - LET'S NOT BEAT AROUND THE BUSH ......

It's come to my attention that on Facebook I get lots of invites from people I know and a few I don't asking me to like their Facebook pages.   Now out of support I do this especially with people I know personally but do they return the favour ? NO!

So please do not ask me to like your Facebook pages if your not prepared to like mine ... Unlike many of you my site and social media is all organic so I don't have as many as some of the folk out there who buy but somehow manage to rack up more hits and views than those who do

So remember like for like as I know why you want me to like your page and you know why I want you to like mine

I will be checking through my likes on people's pages and also seeing if they like mine if there's no sign of scratching each other's backs then you got to go

Sorry it's come to this I'm old school we help each other out but the need breed are ruthless it's just taken me longer to start getting that way ... Which for me is very hard but now seems very necessary

Gucci unveils collaboration with artist Hirohiko Araki

Gucci has unveiled a unique collaboration between Creative DirectorFrida Giannini and renowned Japanese Manga artist, Hirohiko Araki. Inspired by Giannini's 2013 Cruise Collection, Hirohiko has created an exclusive Manga (Japanese comic strip) story that will feature in the shop windows of Gucci's worldwide direct store network in January and February. Entitled 'Jolyne, Fly High with Gucci', Hirohiko's Manga tells the story of Jolyne Cujoh, a student who inherits a keepsake from her mother’s Gucci collection. Echoing the colour palette and graphic undertones of Giannini's Cruise collection, it references the House's iconic Flora pattern that has been reinterpreted in a number of the collection’s signature pieces and the technique gives a three dimensional effect to his characters. The window installation will roll out across more than 70 Gucci boutiques around the world from today and will remain until mid-February. A multi-media campaign will complement the window installation, including in-store and viral videos and the publication of the full Manga story exclusively in Japan's Spur magazine and on Gucci’s Facebook page.

Ted's Drawing Room

Ted Baker collaborates with top illustrators to launch digital fashion portrait service ‘Ted’s Drawing Room’ in the UK and New York To celebrate the in store launch of Ted Baker’s SS12 campaign The Great Exhibitionist and his Private Views, Ted has collaborated with a host of acclaimed illustrators to create a digital fashion portrait service called Ted’s Drawing Room. Launching on 17 March 2012, the initiative will see over 100 lucky customers receive a signed and framed, original, one-off portrait created by one of 11 top illustrators including Jacqueline Bisset, Niki Pilkington and Michael Frith.
Never one to blend into the background Ted’s SS12 collections are positioned as literal works of art this season. Rich prints, sharp silhouettes, a palette of paint-box brights and bold brushstrokes are at the very heart of the collection. Add to that Ted’s unwavering attention to detail and you have a collection that’s sure to be a real talking point and worthy of a walking exhibit.
Ted is now calling on fashion and illustration lovers to ‘put yourself in a picture’ and become a fashion masterpiece as part of Ted’s Drawing Room. Taking place across selected Ted Baker stores in the UK and New York, Ted’s Drawing Room opens in London from midday to 8pm GMT on Saturday 17 March.

Shoppers will be invited to pop into store, try on pieces from the new collection and pose for a photo in one of Ted’s ‘Exhibitionist’ photo booths. An image of their Ted look will be taken using Instagram and the photograph will be automatically beamed straight into the artist’s studio, Ted’s Drawing Room, to be re-created by one of the illustrators as an original piece of artwork. Participating stores in the UK will be London Floral Street, London Bluewater, Brighton, Manchester Trafford, Leeds, Glasgow and Dublin and Soho and Meatpacking in New York

Ted’s Drawing Room will be situated in Ted’s London HQ. Inside 11 illustrators, ranging from pure fashion illustrators; to watercolour portrait artists to contemporary graphic artists, will sit poised to re-create the images using a diverse range of media from traditional pencil and ink through to collage.
As the photos appear in Ted’s Drawing Room the illustrators will ‘choose their muse’ and draw the looks that inspire them most. Ted will send those that have their portrait done a digital copy to share and show off and then a signed, framed original version soon after.

The finished portraits and the photos that inspired them will be exhibited in a gallery on Ted’s Facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/tedbaker   A selection of lucky customers will also receive a time-lapse film of their portrait being created which can then be shared with friends on social networks.

A film crew will be on hand to capture the illustrators hard at work. They will be broadcasting live footage back into participating stores and to Ted’s Facebook page, allowing the public to watch the masters at work and for the subjects of the portraits to tune in and watch their portrait being created!
Ted Baker has worked in collaboration with top illustrator agents’ Debut Art, YCN, Illustration Web, Jelly London as well as some alumni from the LCF Fashion Illustration BA Honours to pull together the illustrative talent.

The illustrators involved range from the more fashion oriented Jacqueline Bissett and Niki Pilkington; to Michael Frith – one of the finest water colourists working today; right through to the lo-fi, quirky caricature of Harry Malt to the intense detail of Matthew Green. Output will be a mixture of accurate, fashion-led portrayals, beautifully showcasing Ted’s SS12 collections right through to completely comedic and abstract interpretations of the subjects dressed Ted to toe.

The full list of illustrators selected to take part is as follows:

Armani Jeans at Designer Boutique

Armani Menswear from DesignerBoutique-Online.com

Saturday 18th December 2010. This should have been the busiest shopping of the year in Liverpool last year. It wasn’t, due to the mass snowfall on the Friday night. The following week picked up. The weather was cold and people wanted to wrap up warm. On the back of this, Designer Boutique, and I would imagine every clothing retailer from Primark to Harvey Nichols, wouldn’t miss the boat for 2011.
Buy ALL the coats we liked, another cold winter like that and they’ll be flying out. Fast forward and we are now in January and my central heating has barely been on, I had the lowest heating bill for this quarter that I can remember getting and of course all our Armani Jeans coats are still here, but what’s this I hear? The weatherman has mentioned snow for January; this means there has never been a better time to get yourself an Armani Jeans Coat. They all up to 40% off, here take a look at these Mens Armani Jackets.

This has been Designer Boutique’s first season with Armani Jeans and we have to say we’ve been very happy with it. If you’ve never worn Armani before you need to own a pair of their jeans. Designer Boutique has had outstanding success with the Armani J21 Jeans, straight leg, five pocket denim with enough room in the legs to accommodate the thighs of the more sporting amongst us. You get a smart, clean, straight cut that looks great as part of an outfit for a night out and comfortable enough to knock about in.

Want something a little slimmer? Check out the Armani J03 Jeans. Don’t worry, you won’t be stepping out looking like Russell Brand, they’re slim enough but not too slim. They look particularly good on the shorter bloke. Check out Designer Boutique’s vast range of Mens Armani Jeans.

Designer Boutique Menswear is an official UK stockists of Armani Jeans Clothing.
