ARMANI JEANS NEW VIDEO FOR FW 12/13 ADVERTISING CAMPAIGN
The Armani Jeans video for fall/winter 12/13 was filmed in timeless black & white by Takai Takemoto and features Bambi Northwood Blyth and Sean O’pry. Locked in their respective rooms, which are almost totally unfurnished, surrounded by the walls of a space that is probably just a mental projection, the two protagonists imagine themselves on a stage, like the rockstars they love and imitate. The camera follows their movements, oblivious of being observed Bambi and Sean fully live their own fantasy, believing that reality is a product of the imagination. Because Armani Jeans embodies dream, fun, dynamism and freedom.

Saturday 18th December 2010. This should have been the busiest shopping of the year in Liverpool last year. It wasn’t, due to the mass snowfall on the Friday night. The following week picked up. The weather was cold and people wanted to wrap up warm. Positive with a slightly rock feel, fabulously sexy with a strong masculine edge. This is the style of the Armani Jeans capsule that includes two T-shirts, two jeans options, a black leather jacket and a bag.
The multi pocket zipped jacket with its ultra modern styling is firmly rooted in the classic biker jacket tradition. On the T-shirts Rihanna’s contribution is unmissable: one is printed with an emblem that combines her “R” logo with the Emporio Armani eagle, the other, in a looser fit, features the outline of Rihanna’s face over a mottled, animalier effect background. The same mottled effect is repeated on the bucket-backpack in canvas with eco leather trim and pendant charm in branded metal.

New short film featuring Rafael Nadal for Armani Jeans.. #HOT
In the beginning there was David Beckham. Then there was Cristiano Ronaldo. But for the last two seasons there has only been one name associated with Armani Jeans and Emporio Armani Underwear: Rafael Nadal. You might already be familiar with some of the Ads, you might even have seen one of the billboards – but you’ll never seen Rafael Nadal like this.
To augment the successful Campaign Ads, an action-driven short film was shot. The film’s narrative called upon some genuine acting skills but – just like the modeling – Rafael Nadal took to it like a fish to water.
Speaking about the experience he said “Working with Armani it is a new experience. It’s a different world that is very positive for me. I enjoy it a lot.”
The video was shot by the director Johan Renck, drawing on the inspiration from the theme behind this year’s Emporio Armani collection: gritty industrial and urban, grey backgrounds with an ode to film noir.
The video starts with our hero dressed in black tie, in an obvious hurry, running hard through an empty parking lot. Under his arm he has a package.
From a variety of angles, we see him running with long fast strides, undressing as he goes through the garage, and casting all off the garments to the floor. Bow tie, shirt, shoes etc, until he ends up just in his underwear… The rest? Watch for yourselves!
