Dolce&Gabbana have their main show as always on Via Piave at the Metropol, Every season of late they have been doing secret shows ..... this time last year I was lucky enough to attend the one they held at their restaurant Bar Martini but I could not find any footage of the show.... this season I was in Milan but as soon as I got there I took ill and was basically in my hotel room for 3 days being sick and flew home last night and dreading the next few days as I have to get better so I can head off to Paris ..... that said and done if you have never seen one of the Dolce's secret shows here we go I have managed to find the full show

Emporio Armani - 2017 Spring Summer Menswear Collection

Individuals shifting within a pulsating metropolis who choose clothing to be present, live and to represent themselves, mixing recognisable shapes and signs in a personal way: it is a tense and sharp collection that stems from a reflection on today's meaning of identity. These looks consistently and coherently define the code and substance of Emporio Armani, which promotes a spirit of belonging and invites everyone to be themselves.
The digital imprint – printed, embroidered, engraved, extended to become woven jacquard – and stylised eagle are the visual elements that recur in a wardrobe with sleek, performance shapes, in which garments are inspired by athletic wear but made with fine materials. Unexpected details underline the identity of garments: metallic patches with a military flavour, and a surprising romantic touch of foliage, embroidered with reflective thread. 


A sense of functional modularity dominates: bombers with flexible volumes, pea coats and trench coats are mixed with straight-leg trousers or trouser styles with double pleats that have a looser fit. Constructed jackets have curved shoulders.


The colour palette is typical of Emporio Armani, featuring navy blues, denim blues, and urban greens paired with greys, along with touches of red, orange and electric blue that illuminate the collection. 


Customisation as a means of establishing identity is evident in the accessories: weightless lace-ups and sandals, along with bags and backpacks with a contemporary look.

Oliver Spencer - London Collections: Men SS14 Show

Oliver Spencer the show I always look forward to and was worried maybe on this occasion I would not be able to go but made it to one of the hottest shows on the schedule which was influenced by art, architectire and London's ever evolving subscultures.

inspired by 1980s American neo expressionist Jean Michael Basquiat who recently did a collaboration with Uniqlo  .. Mr Spencer was motivated by suggestive dichotomies.  The bleaching on garments such as jackets and trousers stole the show as did actor Idris Elba who DJ'ed and Rapper Wretch 32 who modelled in the show.  On the front row guests included Dermot O'Leary, David Gandy, and American actor Jesse Metcalfe.

Key pieces in the collection included a faded red trench, bleached graffiti tailored suit which embody Oliver Spencer's intelligent design approach...

Oliver Spencer's collections never disappoint and as a salute I attended the show wearing non other than ... dun dun dun ... Oliver Spencer.. well not literally but his clothing
