MUST SEE - DSQUARED2 MY WAY

Today I’m wearing DSQUARED2 my way like I say when I shop I shop for longevity and that’s why I have nearly every trend in my closet ... I also believe in buying quality and if you look after the items they will look after you but once again it’s what you buy ...

MUST SEE - INCLUSION AND DIVERSITY AT FASHION WEEKS

So fashion month is well and truly underway and finishes in a few days so I think I can talk about inclusion and diversity especially with it now being black history month.... I think brands around the world feel, they have been bullied in included certain people in their fashions for example Versace and their now plus size models in the collections, but let me make a check list of what is what because black people are still missing out still an after thought and still being passed over .... I've been modelling for over 20 years I do ok but I could do better and a lot of the male white models I used to work with are now distant memories bit I'm still out here doing my thing booking mainly campaigns but missing walking in shows ... become of my former work with Russias next top model this has helped I still get interviews and magazine spreads but not as much as my white counterparts ....

So here's the check list ...this season across the board and I'm not picking on any brands really but fendi, phoebe English, DSQUARED2 are just a few who have been leaving out one category try and see if you can guess which one

We have

Young white female models      Check
Young white male models.         Check

WATCH IT NOW - Dsquared² | Fall Winter 2016/2017

Laden in detail, contrasting delicate and feminine fabrics with bold shapes and accents, the Dsquared2 Women’s Fall Winter Collection a mash up of three influences: military, Victorian and samurai. Woven throughout, the themes evoke the distinct characteristics of the Dsquared2 woman: individual, bold and ready for anything.

The silhouette is layered, cut close to the body in high texture fabrics and balanced with oversized outerwear. Underneath every look, a printed tulle bodysuit adds colourful allure. Victorian-style pieces and accessories are part austere and part feminine, such as ornamental sleeve jacket dripping in beads, paired with a floor-length A line skirt; or embroidered and sequined bibs on white T-shirts; yokes, caplets and collars draped over denim jackets. Shimmering and sleek, an organza plissé beaded dress finds new edge when paired with a khaki cropped rib knit.

Military pieces convey an eye-catching statement of youthful elegance. Livery stripes and gold buttons detail admiral style jackets and capes, while signature Dsquared2 shaped jodhpurs, with a low slung waist, are paired up with a multitude of high shouldered tops and cropped jackets. The other side of military wear also shows up in camouflage print combat pants and field jackets. Subverting the rigorous attitude, the looks are accessorized with belts, bags and sandals inspired by costume of an ancient warrior. Resembling fighting armour, metal plates are constructed with cord and tassels onto sandals and thick leather waist skirt piece. The samurai theme also defines striking coats cut from an elaborate intarsia of diverse furs and embroideries.

Hand-finished and loaded with details, the collection’s accessories add a punchy finish to looks. Stiletto sandals are covered in beads, velvet ribbon and pearls, or an elaborate design with brass accented leather plates looped with woven ropes and tassels. High-drama jewellery includes bracelets, brooches and rings festooned with gleaming black crystals and cameos. Bags are crafted in the collection’s fabrics of camouflage astrakhan. A vintage-looking clasped purse in embroidered organza and velvet features a jewelled chain strap.

Daring, captivating and with a streak of glamour, #majorvictoria is the Dsquared2 woman of next fall.
