G-SHOCK and Marcelo collaborate for second time
Streetwear designer reimagines the GA -100MRB-1A with black snakeskin motif for second G-SHOCK collaboration
G-SHOCK is pleased to announce a second collaboration timepiece with highly-acclaimed streetwear designer Marcelo Burlon and his County of Milan brand.
G-SHOCK continues to evolve with a dynamic and versatile offering inspired by street culture. Having established a strong partnership in 2014 with Marcelo Burlon, this latest collaboration draws on his affinity with impactful design.
Taking inspiration from the snake - a symbol of County of Milan - the GA-100MRB’s motif scales form a black and grey texture 3D print, to create a seamless look from the strap to the casing, providing outstanding graphic continuity. The unmistakable Marcelo Burlon logo also features on the strap and band.
"It's a pleasure to collaborate with a brand like G-SHOCK. We share a constant creative research that celebrates the contemporary reality, while going beyond traditional canons to push further.", said Marcelo Burlon, Creative Director of County of Milan.
In true G-SHOCK form, there is a duality of distinctive design and technological support in this timepiece. The GA-100MRB-1A features shock resistance, 200M water resistance, magnetic resistance, auto LED light, world time (48 Cities), 4 daily alarms, 1/1000 sec, stopwatch (100Hr) with speed indicator, countdown timer (24hr), 12/24 hr formats.
The G-SHOCK GA-100MRB-1A is available from May 5th, 2016 retailing at £170. The collaborative model is available at g-shock.co.uk, Casio London, G-SHOCK East, END. Clothing, Selfridges and Harvey Nichols.
