G-SHOCK and pioneering graffiti artist Futura collaborate on their latest timepiece

Legendary Brooklyn-based street artist Futura reimagines the GD-X6900 with his signature atomic pattern for a limited edition timepiece.

G-SHOCK is pleased to announce the launch of its third collaborative timepiece with street artist Futura. Featuring his iconic atomic pattern in a monochrome colourway, the street art legend has reimagined one of G-SHOCK’s most popular classic shapes for the GD-X6900FTR-1.

Futura gained fame in the 1970s and 1980s as one of the pioneering innovators of graffiti. Alongside his contemporaries such as Basquiat, Haring, Dondi, and Scharf, Futura's work has been recognised for its explosive style and powerful expression.

In true G-SHOCK form, there is a duality of distinctive design and technological might in this timepiece. Features include Shock Resistance, 200M Water Resistance, Auto LED (Super Illuminator) Backlight, Flash Alert,  2 Multi-Function Alarms and 1 Snooze Alarm, World Time (29 Time Zones / 48 Cities + UTC), 1/100th Sec. Stopwatch (24Hr), Countdown Timer (24Hr), 12/24 HR Formats, Mute Function, 10 Year Battery and a case size of 53.9mm.

The G-SHOCK X Futura GD-X6900-FTR is available from June 1st, 2016, retailing at £160. The collaborative model will be stocked at g-shock.co.uk, Casio London, G-SHOCK East and  selected retail partners.
