Double IDentity is a British footwear brand based in London since 2004.
A family business established by Johnny Tsiattalou, the brand is now run
by his son Paul Gabriel and is presenting its re-launching with its first full
collection Spring 2014. The collection will be available from and Topman
and the brand’s website doubleidentity.co.uk .
Double IDentity makes innovative, elegant footwear with high attention
to detail, their style denoting the classic British design themes of
innovation, humour and tradition. Paul Gabriel and his team use their
experience to create unique footwear that is very eye catching while the
quality will create loyal customers.
In recent years while not producing full collections the brand has done
two highly successful collaborations on footwear with the legendary
dance music band ‘ The Prodigy’. One of the 40 pairs chosen to feature
in 2012’s ‘ Javari.co.uk Presents Sneaking into Fashion ‘ exhibition
alongside designers such as Vivienne Westwood, Jean Paul Gaultier.
The Spring 2014 collection comprises a shoe developed by the brand to
be the perfect summer shoe, relaxed summer styling with the unique
cork infused sole.
Technical Aspects -
Brixton is a Herringbone canvas oxford shoe with waxed laces and the
’Skater Girl’ footbed. The ‘DID’ leather tabs are subtly added to the
corner of the tongue and this understated look is finished off with
Double IDentity’s cork wrapped fused sole.
Brighton is a classic slip on shoe using washed out canvas, matching
elastics and the ‘Skater Girl’ footbed, finished with a faux leather
binding. The Brighton has Double Identity’s newly developed cork
wrapped fused sole.
