Alexandra Harper Millinery releases second Disney collection

Following on from the success of the ‘Maleficent'-inspired collection, milliner to the stars, Alexandra Harper Millinery has created a striking new micro range inspired by the mischievous Disney character, Tinker Bell. Entering into Disney’s world of fantasy, imagination and escapism, Harper has designed five one-off creations that encapsulate the minute and globally renowned Disney icon.

Tinker Bell is a notorious Disney personality with her own unique and quirky style. Since 1953, she has been recognised for her temperamental and sparky disposition and Harper has perfectly captured Tinker Bell’s essence in this latest collection. Iridescent hand-cut ‘wings’ shimmer from a classic velvet crown. Another headpiece sees Tinker Bell herself sat atop clouds of black veiling and pleated crinoline sprinkled with gold leaf. Sneaking into the garden, another silhouette of Tinker Bell can be found on a cream dupion silk headpiece with cream jinsin loops, hand-tooled silk flowers and faux blossoms in pinks, greens, creams and purples. A magical mini pillbox in light gold is adorned with tulle and tufts of veiling with a hand-beaded star in a palette of golds.

The ongoing partnership with Disney is an ideal match. Alexandra’s first capsule collection for Disney was a collection inspired by ‘Maleficent,’ starring Angelina Jolie and Elle Fanning. Alexandra will be producing several collections for Disney over the next two years.
