Balmain Unveils Its Spring/Summer 2014 Shoe Collection
For the first time, Balmain has released a commercial shoe collection based on the runway looks of the house’s Creative Director, Olivier Rousteing. The black, gold, metal and geometric offerings found in the new Spring/Summer 2014 collection were all inspired by the shoes that the models wore on the catwalk during Rousteing’s Paris show.
The collection’s high-heeled sandals, stilettos, boots and flats rely on a variety of precious fabrics, including python, soft suede and perforated or padded calfskin. Many designs are embellished with Rousteing’s singular metal detailing.
The collection will be available from March 15th in selected Balmain stores and online on balmain.com.
