The story behind the jacket....
The moment the flag fell, the horses bolted from the gate under a thunder of hooves.
A tremendous roar echoed around the grandstand as Ted watched the thoroughbred champions of the field fly past, with the quickness of lightning and a riot of colour.
True to form, Ted was inspired by this drama and passion, and immediately set about creating a special printed lining for his favourite wool tailored jacket and square silk scarf.
Based on a vintage print from Ted’s collection that celebrates and commemorates Psidium’s 1961 Derby triumph, this beautiful lining echoes the romance of the racetrack… not to mention a winning exhibition of Ted’s skill, agility and unique approach to quality clothing.
And after all, Ted always likes a photo finish......
