Richard Mille hosted a cocktail for 200 guests on 10th October (Monday) at the Stiller's restaurant with Rafael Nadal during the Shanghai Masters series. A tribute was paid to our tennis champion as the Rafael Nadal collection of RM027 & RM035 were showcased at the event together with the SIHH 2011 novelties. Guests had the pleasure to experience Richard Mille new collection with pieces like RM 017 and the RM 011 Asia limited editions, which they were being displayed in China for the first time.
In addition to new collection preview, Richard Mille also highlighted the philanthropy activities done by Rafael Nadal's own charity foundation. A video on the establishment of the Fondation Rafa Nadal was shown to tell the complete story on the ups and downs in his life and his eagerness to help the others in the World. In the same respect, Richard Mille also supports multiple charities like the recent Only Watch 2011 where the RM 027 worn by Rafa in Monaco was auctioned off at Euro 510,000. And at another occasion the RM 035 donated for Japan’s aid was auctioned off at ?8,191,000 or Euro 78,000.
In order to support and to celebrate the collaboration with the Rafa Nadal Foundation, Richard Mille has launched the unique piece of RM 010 where the charity will be taken place in Barcelona in December this year. We look forward to a good result for this collaboration.
