Admiral launches performancewear collection - exclusive for Tu at Sainsbury's

Admiral, the heritage sportswear brand, will be launching a capsule range of performance wear, exclusively at Sainsbury’s.


Over the last century, Admiral has become synonymous with discerning football and sportswear players and fans for its stylish yet affordable collections. After relaunching last year with its Gold and Retro collections comprising of on trend casual looks, Admiral now returns to its original game plan; creating a range of performance enhancing sportswear.


Head of menswear buying for Sainsbury’s, Seth Harrington commented, “The success of Admiral's relaunch last year paved the way for the brand’s development into sportswear.


“With next month's Olympics and the rise in ath-leisure culture, we saw 2016 as the perfect time to create and launch the Admiral performance range.”


Made using ultra stretch fabrics, this collection is built to fit and adjust during high intensity exercise. Crafted from lightweight fabrics with super fine yarns, hooded jackets are the ideal throw-on after a tough workout.  Breathable and quick dry fabrics wick away sweat, ensuring the wearer is kept dry and comfortable in all conditions, while an antibacterial treatment eliminates odour. With a clean colour palette of black and grey marl with flashes of cobalt blue, the collection remains true to its traditional heritage. Collarless zip-up tops, shower resistant running jackets and lightweight base layers all nod to Admiral’s progressive outlook on men’s sportswear.


Launching into stores at the beginning of August, the Admiral Performance collection is set to become the go-to brand for affordable, durable and comfortable, stylish sportswear.
