Summery colours at play with Glashütte Original

Azure ocean or light blue horizons, brilliant white sand or foaming surf – summer lures with an unmistakable palette of colours. Glashütte Original takes the magic of these long days and balmy nights and wraps it around wrists all over the world in the form of elegant timepieces.  Whether in cream white with bicolour design or as a version in sky blue set with diamonds, the

ladies' watch collections Lady Serenade and Pavonina radiate pure joie de vivre and celebrate the most beautiful hours of the year in brilliant detail. In men's watches as well, the Seventies and Senator models, with their vibrant hues of blue, assure that summer has truly arrived. The Glashütte Original collection has many facets. The charming play of colours in the following

models make them ideal companions for the summer of 2016.

Lady Serenade

With its individual colours, decorations and materials, the classic and elegant Lady Serenade sets unmistakable accents. In 2016 the collection was complemented by a refined bicolour design combining cool and warm metallic tones. Combined with an elegant cream-white bracelet this Lady Serenade elicits even greater desire for summertime. The 36 mm diameter case of this mechanical ladies' watch is fashioned in classic stainless steel. Its glamorous bezel and crown in the finest rose gold are adorned with sparkling diamonds. The dial in fine white mother of pearl is set by hand with gilt index appliques. Rounding off the graceful composition is a cream coloured Louisiana alligator leather bracelet.

Pavonina

The unmistakable ladies' watches in the Pavonina collection celebrate self-assured femininity. The graceful models with their characteristic cushion-shaped, 31 mm case take inspiration from designs of the 1920s and carry them over into a decisively modern timepiece. Elegant bracelets as precious as jewellery and sophisticated manufactory quartz movements, as robust as they are precise, make ideal companions for any occasion. The silver-coloured, sophisticated guilloche dial is framed by an elegant and brilliant stainless steel case. Sparkling diamonds set on the dial and the moveable lugs lend this model additional sophistication and assure refined reflections of light with every movement of the wrist. The skyblue calfskin bracelet wraps itself in comfortable elegance around the female wrist and complements the design in a graceful manner.

Seventies Chronograph Panorama Date

The sporty Seventies Chronograph Panorama Date with the sophisticated manufactory Calibre 37-02 makes a striking impression with its streamlined 40 mm steel case and graceful curves. The models in this collection offer an interpretation of the 1970s feel for life, in a contemporary mode: with casually elegant design, refined mechanics and a subtle touch of vintage character.

In its blue version, too, the dial of the chronograph is artfully adorned with a sunburst decoration. The indexes are fashioned in white gold, as are the hour and minute indicators, which are inlaid with Super-LumiNova to assure perfect legibility even in the dark. The stylish timepiece is complemented by a bracelet in satin-brushed and polished stainless steel.

Senator Perpetual calendar and Senator Panorama Date Moon Phase

Since last year two deep blue versions have enriched the timeless and classic Senator collection from Glashütte Original.

The two 42 mm and 40 mm diameter models in the Senator Perpetual Calendar and Senator Panorama Date Moon Phase lines belong to the Saxon manufactory's exclusive Boutique

collection and are available only in the watchmaker's dedicated brand boutiques around the world.  The galvanic midnight blue dials of the two stainless steel models are the product of an elaborate process and highly skilled hands in the firm's own dial manufactory in Pforzheim. The elegant blue hue serves as a perfect backdrop for the graceful displays of this mechanical masterpiece. They are complemented by a dark blue alligator leather bracelet with foldover clasp – particularly suitable for the magical blue hours of a warm summer evening
