ERMENEGILDO ZEGNA COUTURE ANNOUNCES EXCLUSIVE COLLECTION FOR HARRODS

Under the direction of Stefano Pilati, Head of Design, the Ermenegildo Zegna Couture AW14 aesthetic and vision looks to the origins of the future, an innovative identity and perspective to contextualise fashion through clothes that are the epitome of luxury.

 

Pilati’s first bag for Ermenegildo Zegna Couture, the Couture Bag, is freely constructed to create a soft and highly functional design. It comes in a choice of three types of precious leather - strong spirited macro grain leather, soft French calf leather with grained calfskin detail, and alligator - presented in five colour options, all exclusive to Harrods. Featuring subtle design detailing to enrich its luxury value, the interior is lined in fine Vicuna coloured cotton, and each Couture Bag is further personalised with the hand-stitched Couture trademark, ‘XXX’.

The new Couture Double Monk is an enriched brogue with intricate wingtip detailing to the upper, available in French calf skin leather, and in two colour ways exclusive to Harrods. Made usingtraditional Goodyear construction techniques, the thick leather sole, is embossed with a chevron patternto aid grip functionality. Both the vamp and sole are buffed by hand with artisanal expertise andcompleted with Pilati’s hand-stitched signature ‘XXX’.

To celebrate the arrival of this exclusive collection to Harrods, from October 2nd 2014 the entire series of front windows will be taken over by Ermenegildo Zegna Couture until October 19th.
