ALPINESTARS TECHSTAR :: From MX To Street

For SS14, Alpinestars’ streetwear again takes it’s cues from the designs seen on the brand’s technical apparel, with high performance motorcross pieces like the ergonomically shaped Techstar Jersey influencing designs, prints and colourways across the whole collection.  The Techstar jersey’s multi-panel construction and airmesh material is designed for the ultimate in performance and extra comfort on all off-road tracks.  It’s airmesh material is reflected in streetwear pieces like the perforated Decade Custom wallet and the Racin Tee, with Alpinestars’ bold “Blaze” logo and green, black and white colourway splashed across the Techstar jerseys namesake boardshorts, the Belmore cap, and the Ronson tee.

A little Alpinestars history – in 1963, a leather craftsman by the name of Sante Mazzarolo brought forth a future icon. Based in the small Northern Italy town of Asolo and with the perennial Alpine star flower as it's namesake, Mr. Mazzarolo began to design a new type of footwear that would meet the protective needs and demands of the growing sport of motorcross. The revolutionary boot that Mr. Mazzarolo produced would become an archetype for motocross protection.  A rich heritage in motorcycle racing was born, which would branch into nearly all disciplines of motorsports, from motocross to Formula 1.

Over the past 50 years, Alpinestars have outfitted countless world champions, and produce the highest level of performance and protective footwear and apparel. To this day, Alpinestars' legacy of motorcycle racing and it's roots in Italian artistry are stitched into every garment, from their technical race gear to their extensive casual streetwear connection.
