For Resort 2015, rag & bone has created a transitional collection of covetable classics, melding sportswear and tailoring influences with luxe fabrications.
Languid silhouettes are reflected in skirts and dresses with relaxed asymmetrical slits to the easy shirtdresses and lightweight knit styles. Sportswear-influenced cuts are seen in boxing shorts, rendered in leather, and flared tennis-style skirting and dresses. The sportif aesthetic continues with slip on sneakers.
Masculine tailoring is also given relevance with innovative two-tone detailing and chintzed wool.
Layering and lightness meet in a canon of urbane separates, crafted in a sophisticated color palette, spanning from taupe grey, metallic silver to alpine white and antique rose.
Super soft alpaca wool coats, calf suede jackets, washed silk shirting, double faced wool and dressed pile velvet suiting exemplify the collection’s rich mood. Guipure lace, an intricate technique comprised of linen and silk, is another key detailing.
A custom leopard printed pony hair and a snow leopard print –seen in graphic dresses, toppers and across footwear and bag styles – are the season’s statement-making print, modernized in unexpected silhouettes including a calf-skimming style. A twisted Chantilly lace acts as the season’s delicate trimming.
Outerwear ranges from a traditional menswear peacoat with a functional detachable quilted liner to a luxe black shearling overcoat.
