The Spring Summer 2015 Collection is at one with the Gucci man’s two sides. First, his rock ‘n roll instincts. Eccentric, bohemian, free spirited. At the same time, his love for jet-setting, his innate elegance and his passion for aristocratic sports. Inspired by the nautical seascape, the collection brings an opulent, rock, and often decadent style to his wardrobe. Gucci’s codes of luxury give way to new techniques and techno materials, with unexpected and precious detailing. The season’s standout protagonist, the cross-body bag, boldly outlines the silhouette.
SILHOUETTE
A navy silhouette. Pirate stripes. Deconstructed. For outerwear, the peacoat and the mackintosh with golden buttons. In neoprene, washed leather, or two-toned canvas. Featuring an innovative thermosealing technique on laser-cut materials. This novelty also characterizes lighter-than-ever suiting. A sensual style with ankle-length pants, paired with jackets boasting contrasting details on the sleeves and on the trim. Cotton-linen recalling denim on a suit with printed foulard lining. Golden buttons also decorate dockside pants, while stone-washed jeans feature paint splashes from the deckhand. To wear with an untucked, oversized striped pyjama. Ribbed knitwear. Ultra luxurious. The accessories bring out the collection’s relaxed elegance. Recalling the sailing sack, messenger bags in calfskin, crocodile, or canvas. With a maxi monochrome or striped cross-body strap. Alongside the boating sneaker, the horsebit loafer returns this season, most notably in white-washed crocodile. The striped foulard, knotted metal bracelets worked like rope, and beaded necklaces hint at the Gucci man’s nonchalance and bohemian instincts.
