What an amazing day! I felt like I was there. I wasn't of course but I did go sale shopping in downtown Worcester.
I have many happy memories of Harrods. I first went with my Mum as a little girl. She was very much a stylish fashionista in her day. She taught me how to feel quality in fabric and to admire a good cut and garment construction. She also made a lot of clothes herself and taught me all that she knows. She still knits (she is now 86) and has retained her interest in fashion.
I was a student in Chelsea in the 1980s. As well as our Rag Week parade taking in Knightsbridge, we also used to have Sunday morning breakfast in Harrods as an occasional treat. I was a regular visitor to browse the fashion rooms but alas, all I could afford was a chiffon scarf!
Harrods is an institution as is its sale. Thanks for making me feel part of it!

OMG how busy????? What's all this about a credit crunch they keep going on about. Certainly didn't appear to be any signs of that not just in Harrods but every shopping centre in the UK.
It seems most people saved their hard earned cash knowing the great bargains to be had after Christmas. Well done to everyone who got their bargain that day. xx
