TALLIA STORM SIGNS WORLDWIDE RECORDING AGREEMENT WITH VIRGIN RECORDS
Tallia Storm, a 15-year-old songstress from Glasgow, Scotland, has signed a long term recording agreement with Virgin Records, it was announced today by the company’s Chief Creative Officer and Executive Vice President Ron Fair.
According to Fair, “Tallia Storm is a one-in-a-zillion talent and an extraordinary 15 year old well beyond her years. Her soulful vocals come from a deep place combined with her great melodic gift, beauty and intellect. Virgin Records is thrilled she is joining our roster." Upon signing her agreement in the iconic Capitol Records tower, Tallia exclaimed, “I am over the moon to have signed with Virgin!”
Tallia Storm began singing in her native Scotland at age 11, having been influenced by her father Sascha Hartmann – a musician with deep roots in jazz and soul. Tallia was propelled to international recognition after a chance encounter with Sir Elton John’s husband David Furnish while on holiday with her family in 2011. Furnish gave her demo CD to Sir Elton and the music legend phoned the 13-year-old Glaswegian 24 hours later to invite her to open his sold-out concert date at Scotland’s Falkirk Football Stadium. Sir Elton said of young Tallia, “I was very impressed with the maturity of her voice – I think she has a great singing future ahead.”
Tallia Storm has already performed at dozens of events spanning the globe, from Los Angeles to London and Madrid to New York, where she was invited by the legendary Nile Rodgers to sing and perform at TEDxTeen.
