VERSACE MENSWEAR AUTUMN/WINTER 2014
The characteristics that define the new Versace menswear movement: young, free, liberated, provocative, unafraid.
The biker is the new cowboy, living in leather and denim, day or night.
Strong shouldered single-breasted suits are worn with a new Versace print silk shirt, worn over a fine-gauge rollneck.
New prints include a collage of car cut-outs mixed with iconic Versace images and precious Versace items.
Appliqué patches are embellished with classic Versace hardware, such as chains, studs and Medusa heads.
Coloured Bandana prints appear on shirts and vests, as well as this season's underwear.
Coats with a strong shoulder come in cashmere or baby camel, and are worn with hand drawn
Medusa T-shirts and bootcut jeans.
For evening, a shawl collar tuxedo comes in a wool mohair bouclé with lurex that's been spun with real gold.
All boots have a Cuban heel, some with harnesses attached, giving men a liberated attitude. Portfolio bags have handcuffs attached on chains.
Accessories include fingerless gloves, key chains, sheriff badges, charm bracelets,
grommet belts and specially painted motorbike helmets.
"I wanted this collection to be a celebration of individuality and the freedom to be whoever you want to be, in the face of all the oppression in the world right now." Donatella Versace
