Jean Charles de Castlebajac Pre fall 2014

The JC de CASTELBAJAC Paris F/W 14-15 Pre-Collection is a sensitive and feminine reinterpretation of the designer’s wardrobe when he was but a young boy in the 1950’s.

The palette surprises with its nod to the designer’s beloved primary colours, playing with acidic pastels like Berlingot candies, “Mistral Gagnants” and other childhood sweets: in yellow, green, pink, blue or caramel. The traditional navy blue of a uniform, taupe, or a more discreet black, come together to complete a rainbow of soft colours in the most natural and feminine way.

At first sight, the materials of this resolutely chic wardrobe are noble and light. Cashmere, alpaga, chintz wool and other soft fabrics, notably fluid, unite to perfect and transcend this elegant wardrobe.

Knit flirts with cashmere, mohair, angora, geelong and merino, which accentuates the definitively qualitative perception of this collection.

Colour-blocks reveal fantasies here and there like graphic stripes, tie jacquards and intarsia knits with figurative or abstract patterns.

As for modernity, it is assured and adapted in the shape of every piece. Each one is pure and narrative at once, bringing a contemporary and original dimension.

Poetry and soul, the guiding principles of this Pre-Collection, bring nobility in every form to this creative and accessible collection, a veritable homage to tenderness and “Happy- Culture”.
