CONVERSE ANNOUNCES HOLIDAY 2013 ALL STAR COLLECTION AND INVITES YOU TO #GETWINTERIZED

CONVERSE Inc. announces the launch of its Chuck Taylor All Star Holiday 2013 Collection with a series of creative moments sure to warm your cockles. True to the spirit of the original All Star, the collection is reworked and infused with seasonal design details that are sure to excite any sneaker fan – with the most iconic Converse silhouette updated using premium materials and fabric treatments that help combat the cold, wet winter months. Each style is available now at Schuh.co.uk from £60.

To celebrate, Converse is sticking two Chucks up at bad weather with a series of #GetWinterized events in London. As shorter days mean longer nights, Converse will transform four of the capital’s much loved and ordinarily winter desolate British pub gardens into the ultimate “winterized” venues, leaving their unique mark for the local community to enjoy afterwards.

The series kicks off on Saturday 9th November at The Old George Tavern in Bethnal Green with an outdoor screening of the cult classic movie Wayne’s World - accompanied by a live performance of the iconic soundtrack by theLondon Metropolitan Orchestra String Quartet.

Converse will then throw an immersive quiz night on Thursday 14th November at The Masons Arms on Harrow Road. This is no ordinary quiz night though, as host Huw Stephens will be asking you to exercise your grey matter in ways you can hardly imagine.

Things take a humorous turn on Thursday 22nd November when Adam Buxton will headline the ultimate stand-up show at The Abbey Tavern in Kentish Town, where he’ll be introducing the winterized pub garden to some great new comedy talent.

Finally on Saturday 30th NovemberLianne La Havas will take to an outdoor stage at the New Cross House in New Cross to perform a live acoustic set, with special guests Swim Deep ensuring the series wraps up in style.
