Universal Works Releases the Bumper Boot
Universal Works, the stylish, sartorial menswear specialists, are proud to announce the first exclusive shoe to the brand, The Bumper Boot.
AW13 brings the release of the Bumper Boot, the first of a series of shoes based around the desert boot, all produced by a small family company of highly skilled craftsmen in the traditional shoe making area of Porto, Northern Portugal.
Launched in 2008, Universal Works endeavours to provide real, honest menswear that is wearable, sustainable and affordable and reflects the personality of the owner.
The bumper boot combines the comfort of a sneaker with sophisticated materials- the suede is lined by luxe leather, equal with the Universal Work’s customer- one who likes to dress and live well, and stylish in an understated but confident way.
The suede upper is reminiscent of a classic desert half boot, however like the brand’s constant strive to merge heritage styles with modern twists, the rubber sole and chunky leather heel cup stitched on still make the shoe fully part of the Universal Works DNA.
Like all of Universal Work’s manufacturers, they are low volume production, but exude the highest quality of craftsmanship that is synonymous with Universal Works. Continually endeavouring to use the best quality materials, Universal Works’ Bumper Boot is no exception- made from the highest quality Portuguese Suede and Italian Rubber soles.
The bumper boot comes in 4 colourways- flint, brown, navy and sand, with 2 sets of laces in both leather and coated cotton.
