George Cox for Red or Dead

George Cox for Red or Dead

This spring the innovators of the brother creeper, George Cox, come together with Red or Dead for a unique footwear collaboration available exclusively at schuh.

Inspired by classic archives of both brands, three unique gents’ shoes have been intricately crafted to represent the street-style heritage that both brands embody.

Making shoes since 1906, George Cox are famed for designing shoes that are now synonymous
with key street trends; Teddy Boys picked up on their Brothel Creepers and Mods appropriated their Winklepickers. Through the decades they have gained fans from Vivienne Westwood to Joe
Strummer and today are still recognised as one of the most iconic and original footwear brands around.

This is a true British collaboration with all styles handmade in the home of quality shoemaking
Northampton, with prices ranging from £220-£235. A limited 24 pairs of each style will be sold in selected schuh stores, further adding to their growing portfolio of fashion heavyweights.

Distinctiveness, tradition and premium quality was the focus of the collection as schuh’s gent’s
buyer James Datlen explains. ‘George Cox was a brand we always wanted Red or Dead to work with. They both try to create interesting products, striving to instil everything they do with a sense of authentic individuality and home-grown creativity.’

The Red or Dead ‘Mr Cox’ Tassle Loafer, Ghillie Creeper and Desert Chukka boot are all Goodyear welted and share a natural creeper sole, British suede and leather uppers and
premium leather lining. Designed with the subversive gentleman in mind, the Mr Cox collection offers detailed quality, perfect for work and play.

The Red or Dead Mr Cox collection is available from selected schuh stores and www.schuh.co.uk from April 2013.
