EA7 EMPORIO ARMANI LAUNCHES NEW GLOBAL ADVERTISING CAMPAIGN

Emily Pidgeon (Middle Distance Running) and Liam Phillips (BMX) in the United Kingdom, Hamilton Sabot (Gymnastics) in France, Matteo Aicardi (Water Polo), Paola Croce (Volleyball), Andrea Cassarà (Fencing), Antonietta Di Martino (High Jump), Luca Dotto (Swimming) and Anzhelika Savrayuk (Rhythmic Gymnastics) in Italy, will be the new stars of ‘The Sense of Being’ advertising campaign: men and women first, athletes second, involved in an all-encompassing professional and personal challenge.

A commitment that comes from passion and is nurtured by determination lies at the heart of EA7, the Emporio Armani brand launched in 2004 dedicated to sport and performance. The collection was designed to be a complete expression of the person: the commitment and ethos of hard work, sacrifice and technique in order to achieve the best possible result. EA7 Emporio Armani merges technique and style: a celebration of sport expressed with the soul. These are the values that Giorgio Armani believes in.

The shots, which are in iconic black and white, emphasise the idea of sport in a classic way: pushing the limits as a way to grow and mature, because the greatest performance is nothing without determination and strong character. Being involved is as important as winning, and to take part one must give one's all, bringing personal values to the field.

EA7 Emporio Armani is the sponsor and Official Outfitter of the Italian Team that will be participating in The London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games from 27 July to 12 August and Paralympics from 29 August to 9 September. Giorgio Armani will design the complete wardrobe, both sporting and formal, for the athletes of the Italian Olympic Team. The extensive sports wardrobe from the EA7 line will include clothes and accessories that will be worn by the athletes at all times of the day throughout this great sporting event. The designer will also create the official outfit to be worn by the team during the opening ceremony on the 27th July 2012 at the London Olympic Stadium.

This project is the result of a collaborative agreement between the Armani Group and CONI (the Italian National Olympic Committee) further validating Giorgio Armani’s close connection with the world of sport.
