CROMBIE ABSORBS VAT INCREASE!

Luxury British heritage brand Crombie has informed its valued customers that it intends to absorb the increase in VAT.

Customers have been informed that despite the increase in VAT from 17.5% to 20%, all current stock available in stores and on the company’s website will continue to be sold at its pre-January price (or in some cases rather less now that Crombie’s end-of-season sale is underway).

Crombie’s luxury coats normally retail for between £595 and £2,000, so this absorption of VAT might represent a typical saving for a Crombie customer of between £12.66 and £42.55.

“Crombie prices already compare favourably to rival luxury fashion brands, and we believe that absorbing the VAT increase underlines our historic commitment to our customers of fair pricing for super-premium quality,” said Michael Rankine, Crombie’s Head of Retail
