Today's shoes are from Christian Louboutin and are the Dandy Pik Pik Flat Patent loafers..... WOWSERS!!! I was fortunate to attend a recent CL party in London and these babies really caused a stir... you need to see them in the flesh to really appreciate them... they give of this glow almost a sparkle and are definitely attention grabbing shoes for the boys!!!

These are definitely a must see ... today's shoes are called ring my toe..... do i need to say more? the see through PVC beauties have got me all excited and thinking about styling how i would like to see them roll out and about....

Christian Louboutin at the Design Museum - the video

The Design Museum presents the first UK retrospective of iconic French shoe designer Christian Louboutin, celebrating a career which has pushed the boundaries of high fashion shoe design.

CHRISTIAN LOUBOUTIN LAUNCH AT THE DESIGN MUSEUM

Last night as most of you know I attended the Launch party of Christian Louboutin'a Exhibition to celebrate 20 years of the genius' work.... 20 years.... The evening started off with a cocktail party where guests gathered and sipped on Martini and champagne and nibbled on steak tar tar canapes.  As guests arrived noted faces included Sophie Dahl, Dita Von Teese, Pop star Mika, Henry Holland, Daphne Guinnes, Holly Fulton, Jonathan Saunders, Roland Mouret and of Course Mr Louboutin himself...

Shortly after 8pm the curator of the the exhibiton said a few words and then the microphone was handed over to Christian Louboutin who had guests laughing with his tales of the early days and his love of women and Dita Von Teese as she epitomises the Louboutin woman.

After his speak we were let loose to view the collection we walk in and are greeted by a carousel holding pairs and pairs of shoes... 20 years.... 20 years... alot of shoes but I was not expecting the amount I actually saw.... there were hundreds... I like to think of myself as a serious follower of Mr Louboutin's styles and collection but there were so many that I have never seen before... I died ... I came back... I went to heaven and had a Martini cocktail to ease my nerves..... I was shaking so much on seeing so many of his designs these are like my drug,,, whether its men's or women's I get pleasure just looking at them... I highly recommend you make the trip to the Design Museum as you wont be disappointed.... I myself will be making another trip there to spend time with the shoes and keep them company....

Later on we moved on to the IVY in London's west end for an after party we we all toasted a successful evening and let out hair down and dance to the tunes that Designer and now DJ Henry Holland was spinning on the decks....

This is a night that will stay with me for a long long time and I am so grateful that I was invited along to be a part of it....

Great news from Christian Louboutin in Europe we are to get an online store which I think is totally fabulous .... up until our neighbours across the pond in the USA had this privilege,  but now not only can we shop in-store but on those cold days or lonely nights we can cheer ourselves up by visiting and if your like me purhcasing !! #EXCLUSIVE!! Christian Louboutin book signing London

Thursday 24th November is a day I will remember for a long long time.... All roads led to Harvey Nichols for the Exclusive booking signing of Christian Louboutin's new book Les Ans, which celebrates 20 years of red soles through photography....








Just after 5pm Mr Louboutin walked out to greet his audience and a big audience it was .... tons of people turned out to meet the genius and have their books signed.....








A little video showing you around.....  a bit shaky but you will get the point....





It was an amazing and relaxed atmosphere and Mr Louboutin was in great spirits talking and posing for pictures ......







You sat, he signed, you took a picture and had a little chat.... he is such a great and humble person ... you walked away feeling special.... The queue was long but moved swiftly and everyone excited ... one thing was evident on every face when they walked away from the table... a big smile








For me just being there was a moment I will treasure and Im happy I have this blog to look back on...

As for the book its amazing! you wont be able to get it signed now but any fashionista or lover of Louboutin shoes should have it!!


Vedict: An amazing and surreal moment ... goes right up there next to when I met Dolce & Gabbana ... the number one spot!

PS... there was huge specualation as to what Mr Louboutin would have on his feet .... as I was right at the front a couple people asked what shoes is he wearing ????  the answer is Men's tassled from the upcoming SS 12 collection... customised of course... after all he does own the company!

These shoes were just too awesome ... !!!
