ANTICAMERA 1 - THE NEW ISSUE

On December 14th, 2011 a new issue of Marni’s online, quarterly magazine, ANTICAMERA, will be available.
This second issue pays tribute to the Turinese artist, Carol Rama; to her work and her tenacity with which this painter has always devoted herself for the sake of art.
Marni’s choices of artists, with whom to collaborate in the interest of ANTICAMERA 1, are: the painter, Valerio Berruti, and the sculptor, Christiane Beer, both of whom share an affinity with Carol Rama; that of complete identification between life and art as well as of an implacable determination to proceed with their own artistic choices.

ANTICAMERA 1 is divided into three chapters: one dedicated to Valerio Berruti, one to Christiane Beer and one to Marni_Lab, Marni’s internal laboratory. Photo features on the artists are by the photographer, Paolo Leone.

A new worldwide platform, made in collaboration with The Business of Fashion, where all the clothing and accessories collections will be always available in seven languages via computer, mobile and social network.

The new e-store will take an editorial approach to digital merchandising: the product catalogue interface will be flanked by a “shop-by-look” impagination with the visual impact of a magazine, photos can be viewed in 360°and videos are integrated in the product cards (in attachment the screenshots of the website).

This project is the last step of the brand's emotional and editorial strategy in the digital world, and represent at highest levels the Dolce&Gabbana's deep commitment to the social and anthropological aspects of the net revolution.

The eStore is being launched in the wake of the brand’s deep commitment to the social and anthropological aspects of the net revolution; a revolution that the two designers conceptualise in their Summer 2012 Menswear collection entitled THE NET, which they presented in June 2011.

“We’re fascinated by the idea of opening a boutique that's available to the entire world. We’ve believed in the power of the web right

from Day One. Now, even people not living in large cities will be able to experience the Dolce & Gabbana world.” (Domenico Dolce –Stefano Gabbana)

The purchase experience will have a strong editorial imprint since the DOLCE&GABBANA e-commerce platform will take an editorial

approach to digital merchandising. The product catalogue interface will be flanked by a “shop-by-look” pagination, with the visual impact of a magazine. Photos can be viewed in 360°, and videos are integrated in the product cards.

The Italian house’s narrative ability and value will interface with each individual market's language, culture and ethnicity.

In China, the eStore will be launched on 8th August 2011, because of the importance of the number 8 in Chinese culture. Content and customer care will be provided in Chinese, prices will be displayed in Yuan, and home delivery guaranteed in 400 cities.

DOLCEGABBANASTORE.COM combines Italian style, glamour and DOLCE&GABBANA innovation with YOOX’s technical and logistical excellence. YOOX was chosen for its extensive distribution network and its excellence in customer service.

The eStore is a true all-embracing experience, which places the product within a narrative: the narrative of the DOLCE&GABBANA lifestyle.
