SAMBAG announce the launch of their UK online store http://www.sambag.co.uk/

Sydney-based label SAMBAG was created designer Samantha Wagner in 1997. Inspired by a trip to New York, Wagner began selling at Sydney’s Paddington Markets, the launch pad for several Australian fashion labels, which are now sold globally.

‘SAMBAG’ quickly gained currency as a ‘must have’ with Sydney’s stylish women.

Showing at Australian Fashion Week in 1998. “It was a very successful week,” said Wagner with SAMBAG eventually being picked up by over 50 stores nationwide, a handful of prestige stores overseas and a cult celebrity following:

The first SAMBAG concept store with its signature blue façade opened in Sydney’s leafy Woollahra in April 2005. It offers accessories, clothing – denim, swimwear, cashmere knits, a range of SAMBAG for Kids and shoes including variation after variation of the SAMBAG classic ballet flat, all presented in a way that affirm ‘affordable luxury’. SAMBAG now 8 in key locations across Australia.
