NOT ANOTHER CATWALK
Allan Buxton is a Nottingham based creative who works in film, animation, web and graphic design. With seven years experience as an animator and cross discipline designer, Allan is steadily building a reputation for creating original and exciting pieces that toe the line between low-fi methods and refined aesthetics.
Universal Works first worked with Allan in 2014 when producing two short films to release their Universal Works Workshop Denim line. They are excited to have teamed up again to make a crazy, animated, Universal Works runway fashion show.
Walking into Allan’s studio is like stepping on set of scrapheap challenge so expect crazy contraptions and fishing line special effects mixed with slapstick humour and contemporary clothing.
Universal Works make clothing that is internationally universal whilst embodying a distinctly British feel. One that is passionate, whilst having a sense of humour; garments that they want to wear. With the onus on contemporary fit and functionality, whilst being confidently understated, Universal Works offer clothing that defies the whims of fashion and reflects the personality of the owner.
‘Not Another Catwalk’ is the end result of a collaborative project that combines animation, installation and catwalk.
