Festival Fashion from Lee Cooper

For authentic, utilitarian clothing to see you through this summer’s festival season, look to global fashion brand Lee Cooper.

Having spent over a century crafting workwear, Lee Cooper specializes in producing hard wearing fashion championed by artisans the world over.

Lee Cooper’s SS13 collection is influenced by the concept of Makers, the young men and women who, in the words of Arthur O’Shaughnessey, are the music-makers, the dreamers of dreams, the world-losers and world-forsakers, the movers and the shakers.

This creative influence is woven throughout the SS13 collections, which fuses an eclectic nomadic look with the functional details expected from East London’s oldest denim brand.

This season’s womenswear range takes stylistic notes from the 1950s, featuring rockabilly style and travel-infused prints of vintage luggage stamps and traditional signage. New denim fits for women include a tapered skinny carrot with topstitching on the leg, and a cropped low rise straight fit, and the denim Bermuda short, slim fitted on the leg in a light used wash, is key for high summer.

For men, Lee Cooper’s workwear heritage is present through styling such as functional utility pockets on shorts and jackets, and hues of indigo blue flow throughout the collection. New fits for the season include a pleated slack carrot fit chino/jean hybrid and a relaxed cropped leg denim jean with integrated storage pocket on the back yoke
