MONICA VINADER OPENS NEW FLAGSHIP LONDON BOUTIQUE

Monica Vinader opened its largest standalone space yet in Chelsea, welcoming shoppers to explore 2500 square feet across two levels.

2014 has seen the Monica Vinader profile raised, with A-list celebrities sharing their love for the jewellery, high demand resulting in a second Harrods boutique, and the launch of the brand’s first ever precious stones collection adding to a successful line-up of friendship bracelets, colour gemstones and contemporary diamond pieces.

Situated in Duke of York Square on the Kings Road, the new store will house the brand’s ever-expanding range and invite people into the world of Monica Vinader.

An engraving workshop will allow customers to have their writing and doodles hand engraved onto their jewellery by an in-store master engraver, as part of a same-day, complimentary service. A gallery-like display of Monica Vinader’s colourful friendship range is designed to inspire fans and gift buyers to choose their next MV piece. One of the store’s most striking features, a bespoke diamond bar, will be positioned alongside a relaxed seating area, to allow people to take their time in choosing from the brand’s growing precious stones collections.

On the second floor, a VIP sitting room will provide an intimate space for private shopping events and to showcase upcoming collections.

Designed by Monica and a team of architects, the store interior aims to reflect the design philosophy upheld by the brand, with a strong focus on the craftsmanship and materials that go into creating this inclusive luxury shopping environment. The core construction is cement, giving the flooring, stairway and mezzanine a contemporary feel. This is juxtaposed with brass and wood, and softened by vintage furniture and bespoke items such as chandeliers and suspended, brushed brass window displays.

“The Chelsea boutique is a huge step for our brand and places us in the heart of a prestigious and thriving shopping district. With the Saatchi gallery a stone’s throw away, we couldn’t be better placed not only to deliver an amazing experience for our existing following, but to raise our profile amongst a new audience” - Monica Vinader, CEO and Founder

This launch is closely followed by Monica Vinader’s first Hong Kong boutique, which opens in the iconic ifc building this November, as part of an international retail expansion project.
