Critics Clothing AW14

Founded by Creative Director Samanah Duran; Critics Clothing is going from strength to strength, with their new AW14 pieces showcasing a brand that is developing and maturing with each season. Using a selective palette, Critics Clothing have created monochrome designs that fit perfectly with Londons street style movement yet also stand out from the crowd.

Taking inspiration from the AW14 catwalk trends, the designers at Critics have created pieces that feature a mixture of textures from leather to mesh. This, combined with the influence of brands such as Trapstar and Fresh Ego Kid, provide the brand with an exciting and exclusive collection. However, it was on Samanahs travels to the West Coast of America and her discovery of Mayan art that provide the primary inspiration for this collection. The Quetzal feathered crown, once worn by Mayan kings features as the brands logo and celebrates strength and power- characteristics that mirror the designers strong personality and enhance the brands image.

This season’s highlights include bodysuits and cropped tees for women and graphic tees and sweatshirts for men. Bold prints combined with intricate designs mean that the pieces are both innovative and original, whilst slogans and logos ensure continuity throughout this eye-catching collection. This being said, Critics Clothing provides an exclusive range of unique street wear that ensure you can ‘Be Your Own’ this Autumn/Winter whilst sporting contemporary British fashion.
