A highlight of the evening was the onstage special tribute program which included a conversation between Stella McCartney and comedian friend Jerry Seinfeld. Not short of surprises, the program featured emcee of the night, Chelsea Handler, presenter fashion model Helena Christensen and musical acts by Dhani Harrison performing “Love of My Life” originally by Everly Brothers and Wing’s iconic “Live and Let Die” alongside the SugarTones and students from Julliard. Also featured in the program where heartfelt video messages from Stella’s friends: Bono, Gwen Stefani, Chrissie Hynde, Amy Phoeler, Quincy Jones, Reese Witherspoon, Kate Winslet and Hollywood icon, Doris Day. The designer’s father, Paul McCartney was the evening’s surprise award presenter. Immediately following the program guests continued to a gala vegetarian dinner.

Glenda Bailey, Olivia Harrison, Gabriela Perezutti and Austin Hearst, Dolly Lenz, Steven R. Swartz, Kathryn and James Murdoch were the gala co-chairs for the event presented by American Express.
