An evening of music, dancing, silent disco and debate

 

Science and music battle it out on Saturday 1 November for #HookedOnMusic Late on the penultimate night of the 2014 Manchester Science Festival.

 

Manchester’s music elite will go head-to-head in a debate against scientists who have been analyzing results from the Museum of Science & Industry’s recent Citizen Sciencehookedonmusic.org.uk online game to decide once and for all, what makes a catchy tune.

 

In the debate, DJ Dave Haslam and other industry producers and experts will probe Dr Ashley Burgoyne’s results to conclude where the sweet spot lies between science and music to form a hit record.  

 

The event also features a DJ set from the Hacienda legend Dave Haslam and a Silent Disco.  So that’s debates, DJs, dancing, drinking and a silent disco combined to create the perfect Saturday night in this really unusual and exciting venue.
