GUCCI INTRODUCES FALL/WINTER 2014-2015 ADVERTISING CAMPAIGN
Mert & Marcus shoot all-star cast of models for new series of portraits
Gucci’s Fall/Winter 2014-2015 advertising campaign will break today across the House’s social media platforms. Shot by Mert Alas & Marcus Piggot, the portfolio features an all-star cast of Creative Director Frida Giannini’s most iconic runway models: Natasha Poly, Raquel Zimmerman, Anja Rubik, Nadja Bender, Karmen Pedaru, Joan Smalls, Suvi Koponen, Clement Chabernaud, Janis Ancens, Arthur Gosse, and Xavier Buestel. Each model, lensed as an individual portrait, introduces a signature look from the Fall/Winter runway. The campaign will make its print debut with gatefolds and impact units in key August and September issues worldwide. US titles include Vogue, GQ, W, and Interview; in the UK, Vogue, Tatler, Dazed & Confused, Wonderland, and Man About Town; in France, Vogue, Vogue Homme International, Self Service; in Italy, Vogue, L’Uomo Vogue, GQ, and Vanity Fair.
“With this campaign, I wanted to create modern, evocative portraits that epitomize the essence of the Gucci woman – individual, strong, sensual, and glamorous,” said Frida Giannini.
The campaign peaks with an iconic group shot of all seven models wearing Fall’s crystal-embellished mini dresses. The image – the ultimate expression of Giannini’s vision – will take over Gucci’s Sunset Boulevard billboard later this month.
