Abandon Ship Apparel Launches Girls Collection

Cult streetwear brand, Abandon Ship Apparel, releases it’s inaugural womenswear collection with a range of bright coloured alternative prints. Since 2011, Abandon Ship has been at the cutting edge of contemporary culture with its vast range of now iconic streetwear inspired designs. Taking influence from their local street subculture in Glasgow, directors Richard Davies and Duncan Sweeny have transformed Abandon Ship Apparel into a streetwear juggernaut that reaches every corner of the globe.

Abandon Ship Apparel has snowballed from two friends selling t-shirts from their bedrooms to a worldwide lifestyle brand and one of the fastest growing streetwear companies in the U.K.  With flagships in Glasgow, London as well as a recent original line of kidswear for luxury department store Selfridges, Abandon Ship continues to expand its  thriving lifestyle line with a much requested womenswear.

With an already large female following, Abandon Ship has created a line that caters to the Abandon Ship woman - taking influence from their mainline as well as creating brand new prints that they love for a fun and feminine collection unlike anything else you can get on the high street.

Their fast food inspired campaign featuring Charlotte De Carle, gives a nod to tongue in cheek low brow Americana as adopted by the likes of Jeremy Scott for Moschino to truly capture the essence of the brand. Shot in take-aways and mexican delis around Glasgow, the campaign showcases the womenswear diverse collection of prints while retaining the brand ethos of not taking yourself too seriously.

“We make clothes. We drink beer. We have fucking fun.”

Scrawled outside their London store, the makeshift motto tells you everything you need to truly know about the cult brand and what they stand for. While focusing on making high quality, premium designs and having fun doing it, Abandon Ship Apparel continues to flourish with every addition to their already popular collections.

Abandon Ship Apparel will be celebrating the launch of the new collection by hosting two parties within the London store on the 4th of July and the Glasgow store on the 8th of July. The collection will be available to buy online from 7pm on the 9th of July.
