To celebrate the upcoming Fall/Winter 2014-15, thecorner.com reveals
a new collaboration with Stella Jean, one of the most interesting designers in the
international fashion scene.
The Italian-Haitian designer has created a limited edition t-shirt exclusively for the
luxury online boutique that will be gifted to clients all over the world who purchase an
item from the new collections starting from June 6th. With this initiative, thecorner.com
reinforces the partnership with the designer that began in 2013 with the launch of the
corner online dedicated to Stella Jean.
The t-shirt, available in men and women’s models, takes inspiration from a 1950s poster
“The girl with baggage” – entirely exclusive for thecorner.com.
“The unisex t-shirt that I have designed for this project with thecorner.com is a nod to
the philosophy on which my brand is based. The image of a girl with a suitcase is the
persona of those who wear my creations. Who chooses Stella Jean is a frequent flyerof the
spirit: it doesn’t matter whether she physically touches the capital cities of our civilisation,
but it is important for her to rub shoulders with them, and let them rub shoulders with her,
using her innate ability to mix historical geographies and the desire to counter-colonise
places and souls with the sustainable light weight of a smile.”
Stella Jean is recognized worldwide for her international style that reflects a set of origins
that oppose one another in sharp contradiction – her mother’s Creole influences and the
typical Made in Italy tailored finesse of her father from Turin. For thecorner.com the
designer has created a special print to evoke her personal and professional steps: from
Rome, to Ouagadougou, to Milan.
thecorner.com is well-known for its prestigious collaborations with cutting-edge designers, such as the most recent exclusive capsule collections for men and women: Raf Simons, Carven, Paul Smith, Christopher Kane, Marco de Vincenzo and Rochas. This initiative dedicated to customers is a project that has involved brands like Undercover, Neil Barrett, Umit Benan and Hussein Chalayan.
