Swiss watchmaker Swatch will open a brand new temporary concept store on the fifth floor of one of the world’s most famous department stores, Harrods. Swatch has transformed the 50m2 space into a ‘Gentleman’s Club’ taking inspiration from its latest collection – BIG CLASSIC.
The ‘Gentleman’s Club’ concept was designed to encapsulate pillars of the new collection highlighting craftsmanship, style, tradition and tailoring. The contemporary yet classic design on the shop floor uses wooden floors, sharp blue and red walls showcasing the new BIG CLASSIC advertising campaign with a nod to a Saville Row tailor with accents of chalk applied to the walls. A lounge area complete with vintage, leather chesterfield arm chairs will provide a relaxing, luxurious ambience for shoppers to take time out and relax.
Not only will customers be captivated by the amazing products on display, also featured in an impressive installation of bespoke frames hanging from the walls, Swatch will host Gentleman’s Workshops catering for the modern Gentleman’s every need on how to tie a bow tie, shine your shoes and match your accessories from watches, hats to socks with your wardrobe. Full details to be announced on the Swatch UK Facebook page.
The Swatch ‘Gentleman’s Club’ will also be home to the famous pin ball machine – Bagatelle encouraging shoppers to take part in the Swatch Championship where each week the highest score will win a BIG CLASSIC watch.
Swatch will then move to a permanent location on the fifth floor confirming its commitment to collaborating with Harrods in its new fashion watch accessory department.
