Petit Bateau ‘comes of age' with the launch of it's first adult pop up from 14th February for one month located in Shoreditch, the historic hub of East London. The collection, created under the artistic direction of Gildas Loaec and Masaya Kuroki, of Maison Kitsuné will be showcased in an urban jungle of lush tropical plants, complimenting Petit Bateau’s vibrant prints and colour palette.
A backdrop for the spring collection for men and women is created by a slated wood interior, a nod to the signature Petit Bateau stripe. Cotton jackets and anoraks in sugar almond pastels and bright floral jerseys sit alongside core nautical stripes whilst graphic sweatshirts, staple knits and the iconic marinière are seasonal must-haves pieces.
The shop will be alive night and day with brighter nocturnal light to encourage photosynthesis. Visitors to the shop will be invited to adopt the plants at the end of the project, as part of designers Wayward Plants’ collaborative event.
The Petit Bateau pop up will be located at 64 Charlotte Road, Shoreditch and will open on 13th February for one month.
