Last saturday ... VIPs, celebrities, Aston Martin owners and business luminaries gathered together at Freemasons’ Hall to celebrate Aston Martin’s first 100 years as one of the world’s most iconic automotive brands.
Partying in the heart of London at the end of Aston Martin’s ‘Centenary Week’, guests viewed a selection of the brand’s most established models including the Centenary Vanquish and Skyfall DB5 which flanked the glamorous entrance to the Freemasons’ Hall.
Car fanatic Ewan McGregor arrived for the event and channelled his inner James Bond by posing in front of the original Sky Fall DB5 before swiftly asking the group of photographers to capture the moment for him on his personal iPhone. Downton Abbey stars Joanne Froggatt and Allen Leech partied with Game of Thrones star Natalie Dormer and were seen busting some serious moves on the dance-floor and lusting over the cars.
Guests were treated to flowing Louis Roederer Champagne and sumptuous canapés whilst enjoying a staggering live performance from Radio 1 DJ Benji B, accompanied by a 16 piece string orchestra that captivated the guests with a stunning rendition of Adele’s Skyfall, amongst others, accompanied by impressive video projections reflecting the brands heritage. The evening also showcased Louis Roederer’s new Limited Edition Cristal Jeroboam as the Champagne bar’s centrepiece.
Aston Martin CEO, Dr Ulrich Bez says: “I am proud to be celebrating 100 years of heritage and the best of British craftsmanship. Aston Martin is known around the world for our leading design combined with advanced technology. Ours is the coolest luxury car brand on the planet and I am looking forward to our second century of building the world’s most desirable sports cars.”
