Diesel confirms Nicola Formichetti as Artistic Director

Following his departure from Mugler earlier this week, it has been confirmed today that Nicola Formichetti has joined denim brand Diesel as its new Artistic Director. Nicola will start his new role with the DIESELREBOOT project which will take place on Tumblr and can be viewed now (link below). In his new role, Nicola will also oversee all creative activities of the Diesel main line, including the areas of product, communications and interior design. He will be coordinating the existing Diesel Creative Team and his new recruits from different fields. Renzo Rosso, founder of Diesel (pictured belowleft with Nicola), commented: “Nicola shares my vision and I find it incredibly inspiring to work with him: two creative planets are colliding to generate fresh, mad, insane ideas. With his help, I want to break more rules and bring the real Diesel to a new generation.”
