COS CELEBRATE FRAME AT FRIEZE LONDON WITH A SPECIALLY COMISSIONED FILM

COS CELEBRATE FRAME AT FRIEZE LONDON WITH A SPECIALLY COMISSIONED FILM

To celebrate COS’ support of Frame at Frieze London, COS enlisted London based animator Sarah Beeby and the fashion and culture website anothermag.com to create a unique film inspired by the world of art and fashion.

Celebrating its tenth edition this October, Frieze London remains a tremendously significant and influential art fair based in Regent’s Park, London. The COS supported area of the fair, Frame, was introduced in 2009 as an area dedicated to supporting galleries under 6 years old.

Beeby’s animation makes use of a split-screen format to highlight the blurred boundaries of modern creative disciplines. To celebrate the partnership between art and fashion in the COS-supported Frame initiative, the animation references the ideas, aesthetics and working processes of the artists and COS.

In minutes, the short film cleverly moves through the creative process. A sneak peek at an artist's sketch book or design studio; the tools of the trade, be it paint brushes or pattern-cutting blocks. The print of an autumn garment juxtaposed with the pattern of a painting; delicate still lives.

Marie Honda, Overall Brand Responsible for COS, says, “We are extremely happy to continue our support of Frame at Frieze, London. The short animation created by Sarah Beeby has allowed us to see a different interpretation of the creative process”.
